Teacher: Dan Moxley
[email protected]
Office hours: Tuesday and Thursday, 3:00 - 4:00
Technical Math applies and extends students’ proficiency in mathematics, and often applies these skills to technical and/or industrial situations and problems. Technical Math topics include systems of measurements, tolerances, numerical languages, geometry, algebra, statistics, and using tables, graphs, charts, and other data displays. Students learn computer modeling by working with the Python programming language, an approach aimed at helping programmers write clear, logical code for small and large-scale projects.
October
Unit 3: Making Decisions
This unit focuses on boolean expressions and algorithms, and will set us up to begin working with loops, game design, and internet security. We will also continue making music with Python code in EarSketch.
